Plex Arts Festival

Founded in 2022 by Sam Kann
Supported by the Burlington, Vermont Ward 2/3 Neighborhood Planning Association

Plex Arts Festival is an DIY multidisciplinary arts event in Burlington, Vermont. Each year, Plex collages the work of over 80 artists across three indoor and two outdoor venues. The festival revels in ephemerality—a street corner is alight with performers and sculptures for one evening only—and its ethos and aesthetics are proudly low budget. Attracting 400+ attendees in 2023 and 600+ attendees in 2024, Plex has become an essential part of the Burlington arts culture. Plex is a belief in warm, artist-run spaces and non-hierarchical creativity. Plex is a frame for chaos to exist within.
